Pioneers in
the digital frontier
The world was a different place.
The first iPhone had not yet been introduced, and online shopping was still in its infancy. At that time, we took the step and launched the world’s first online shop for vintage eyewear. From the very beginning, we relied on in-house development for both design and programming, and went live in three languages – German, English and Japanese.
Demand from Japan in particular was enormous, especially for “Made in West Germany” models by Cazal and Alpina. This marked the foundation of our international success.

The legacy of OPTYL
A defining milestone
We were given the unique opportunity to acquire the remaining inventory of the legendary OPTYL production facility. As the world’s largest eyewear manufacturer from the 1970s to the 1990s, OPTYL produced iconic designs for brands such as Christian Dior, Carrera, Porsche Design and Dunhill. With this acquisition, we became overnight the custodian of one of the most valuable archives of unworn original eyewear worldwide.

The arrival of the great houses
Cartier, Dior and Gaultier
Around 2010, we established our reputation as a leading destination for the “aristocracy” of eyewear design. We made the luxurious craftsmanship of Cartier, the architectural masterpieces of Christian Dior’s golden era and the avant-garde creations of Jean Paul Gaultier accessible worldwide. For us, these brands represent an era in which eyewear became a true statement of status and style.

Recognition by
Cari Zalloni
A defining moment in our history. Our exclusive collaboration with design legend Cari Zalloni was a true highlight. Being chosen as a partner by the visionary behind Cazal was the ultimate validation of our philosophy. At the heart of this collaboration was the reissue of the iconic Cazal 642 – developed together with the master himself.

Technological evolution
An online shop is a living organism
An online shop must constantly evolve to remain relevant and meet growing expectations. With “Release 6”, we introduced the most significant stage in the development of our shop to date. Our goal was to create a digital shopping experience as intuitive and refined as the eyewear itself. This technological foundation allowed us to elevate our service worldwide and to make the growing complexity of our archive fully accessible and easy to navigate.

Global growth
in challenging times
The pandemic reshaped global commerce and significantly accelerated the shift toward online retail.
As the international reach of our shop expanded rapidly, we deliberately extended our portfolio to include modern high-end labels that carry the spirit of exclusive design into the present. Brands such as Jacques Marie Mage (JMM), Chrome Hearts, Lindberg, Lunor and Mykita have since become an integral part of our collection. They combine exceptional craftsmanship with the aesthetic we have valued for decades.
