Extravagance is the word that best describes the design of Luigi Colani. The Berliner by birth made a name for himself through his unusual forms in nearly all areas of life. From automobile design to furniture design up to the design for high-capacity airplanes, Luigi Colani placed his stamp on almost everything and is easily identified. Even his design for entertainment electronics was so stunning that his styled ergonomic Canon reflex camera is exhibited in the New York museum of Modern Art.
