Exciting designer eyewear with vintage potential

When we opened our vintage eyewear store in 2006, we concentrated mainly on well-known brands such as Cazal, Persol Ratti and Silhouette. Over the years, however, we have added numerous young eyewear brands that enrich our range and set new standards. Brands such as Yuichi Toyama have developed from small design studios into world-famous labels that surprise with their creativity and innovative strength.

When does an eyewear model become vintage eyewear?

We define the term "vintage" not by age, but by the demand and availability of a pair of glasses. See our essay "What makes genuine vintage glasses?" The uniqueness of these designer glasses will mean that these distinctive models will continue to be sought after in the future, because once you have fallen in love with a pair of glasses, you will never want to do without them again.

Creative designs away from the mainstream

These newcomer brands are characterized by a high degree of craftsmanship and design quality that is unparalleled in the industry. Many of these glasses are limited editions and are often only produced in very small quantities. The designs vary from avant-garde concepts to minimalist frames that deliberately set themselves apart from mainstream trends. At Vintage Sunglasses, we offer you an exclusive selection of these limited one-off pieces. With the newcomers in our range, we are consciously focusing on innovation and individuality.

Unusual and small eyewear brands

The reasons for the popularity among "fashionistas" naturally vary between the different manufacturers: With Anne&Valentin, it's the delightful play between colors and shapes; with Caroline Abram's feminine sunglasses, it's Miami's sixties charm. The glasses from Face A Face make all women happy, as the temple tips are worn with stylish pumps, high heels or boots - in keeping with the collection. The sinfully expensive eyewear creations made of leather, wood and stone by Lucas de Stael are already collector's items and the feather-light glasses by Yuichi Toyama are so purist and minimalist that they could hardly be more timeless. Other brands that existed decades ago and have long been considered true vintage are looking to build on their well-deserved reputation with their new collections - such as French eyewear brand LESCA. There are also unique pieces from smaller eyewear manufacturers - so-called independent labels, which are often still family-run. But the current collections of major designers such as Chanel or Christian Roth can also become vintage eyewear if a design turns out to be cult-worthy / iconic.

Some of the newcomer glasses in our range date back to the early years of the brands and are particularly sought-after today. Their rarity and unusual design make them an ideal collector's item for eyewear lovers looking for unique pieces. It is precisely these independent labels that enrich the eyewear world with fresh ideas and bold designs.
